A Polish charcuterie board for the holidays

For a festive breakfast, a name day or when guests come round: our wędliny sliced on a board, with horseradish, pickles and good bread.

  • Serves 6
  • Prep 15 min

Ingredients

  • a piece of smoked ham
  • a piece of smoked pork loin
  • a bundle of kabanosy
  • a stick of juniper sausage
  • horseradish and mustard
  • dill pickles or gherkins
  • radishes, cherry tomatoes and chives
  • sourdough bread and butter

Method

  1. Take the meats out of the fridge half an hour before serving: they taste of more at room temperature.
  2. Slice the ham and loin thinly with a sharp knife, cut the sausage on the slant, and cut the kabanosy into pieces or leave them whole.
  3. Lay the meats on the board in loose folds, each kind together.
  4. Put the pickles, radishes and tomatoes around them, with the horseradish and mustard in little bowls.
  5. Serve with bread and butter. Wrap any leftovers in paper and keep them in the fridge.
